After much thought, many prayers, and 35 years of construction experience, Carl Lamar founded CL Construction in 1994. CL Construction has grown to boast of three project managers, two construction crews, an office manager and a new office facility in Holland, Michigan. CL Construction’s experienced staff prides themselves on quality and integrity and is excited to help you with your next construction project. |

Ross Lamar
Ross began in 1994, shortly after CL Construction was started. Ross has worked in many different roles such as Site Superintendent and Chief of Field Operations for CL Construction. While managing onsite crews, he works to provide expertise in the “hands-on” aspect of the construction. From residential construction to the erection of pre-engineered buildings he oversees all the “nuts and bolts” of the project insuring quality. |

Brian Lamar
Brian joined CL Construction in 1996. He began as a general laborer learning the construction process and as his knowledge evolved so did his position. Brian is currently a Project Manager and Estimator handling everything from providing quotes to securing permits. Brian organizes every detail from ground breaking to final inspection to ensure each project is completed on time and meets the highest quality standards that CL Construction is known for. |

Michele Jacoby
Michele started at CL Construction in 1996. She came to us with previous management and accounting skills and was a great fit for our Office Manager. Michele has a very active roll in the day to day office duties including job costing, payroll, and project meetings. She is very gifted in connecting with customers on a personal level to help ensure that CL Construction meets or exceeds their expectations.

Dave Lamar
Dave joined the CL Construction team in 2000. He too started out on the construction crew. It became immediately obvious that he is very detailed oriented and loves to work on the finishing touches. He can most often be found laboring over trim work ensuring it is flawless. As CL Construction’s work load continually climbs and Dave’s experience evolves he is slowly merging into Site Supervision as well. |

Chad VanRhee
Chad began working at CL Construction in December of 2000. He has brought a diverse skill set to the team which comes in handy. As the crew's Safety Manager, he regularly attends safety meetings and is directly responsible for job site safety. He has enjoyed learning the construction trade and loves the constant challenges it brings. "Each day and job site is different which keeps it interesting."

Michael Schaafsma
Michael joined the CL Construction Crew right after graduating from Holland Christian High School in June, of 2002. His personality lends him to be very detail orientated which is imperative to ensuring quality through out each project. Most days you will find him working on finish carpentry or training other team members. He loves construction because of the variety of useful skills he learns every day. |

Brian Carnes
Brian started working at CL construction in 2003. He brought several years of previous construction experience and an endless smile to the crew. He can most likely be found working diligently on the daily tasks of each project. Unfortunately, he has been voted most accident prone by the crew because of many minor injuries on the job. This title gives the crew lots of memories to joke about, all in good fun, of course! |

Aaron Rus
Aaron is CL Construction's newest member. He started working on the construction crew in October of 2005 after graduating from Zeeland High School. He had previously worked at a golf course during high school and is excited about learning the construction process. He has caught on very quickly and is always open to learning new things. Currently, his favorite part of the job is doing the rough framing work of new homes.
